Committees

Collision Division

ASA’s Collision Division was established to focus on specific industry issues as they relate to the business of collision repair. The Collision Division Operations Committee (COC) consists of volunteer ASA member collision shop owners who are nominated and approved by the Collision Division Director. The COC will occasionally form subcommittees to work with other industry related entities such as: vehicle manufacturers, insurance vendors, recyclers, parts manufacturers, information providers, paint companies and others that affect the estimating and repair process. Other subcommittees may also be appointed to maintain industry relations in areas of legislation, environment, education, or any other area that may affect the collision repair industry. Collision Division Operations Committee members are appointed to serve on various subcommittees by the division director and subcommittee chairman.

Mechanical Division

ASA’s Mechanical Division was established to focus on specific industry issues as they relate to the business of mechanical service and repair. The Mechanical Division Operations Committee (MOC) consists of volunteer ASA mechanical member shop owners who are nominated and approved by the Mechanical Division Director. The MOC will occasionally form subcommittees to accomplish a specific objective that originates from a new or current problem, project, or industry issue affecting the independent automotive service and repair community. Some MOC subcommittees are disbanded after their project has been resolved, while other subcommittees may span a considerable period of time due to the nature and complexity of the subject. Mechanical Division Operations Committee members are appointed to serve on subcommittees by the division director and subcommittee chairman.
