U.S. Senate HELP Committee Holds Hearing on Apprenticeships

On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions held a hearing entitled "Getting America Ready to Work-- Successful on the job, apprenticeship training programs to help workers and businesses get ready to work".

The hearing included witness testimony from Noel Ginsburg, founder and CEO of CareerWise, Naarai Navarro, Business Development Representative for Pinnacol Insurance, and Leah Curry, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana.

During the hearing, U.S. Senators and witnesses discussed the benefits of apprenticeship programs for high school students. Apprenticeship programs provide an alternative path for students that do not attend higher education colleges and provide on-the-job training and well-paying jobs.
