ASA OnDemand

Combining the look and convenience of a print publication, while offering the most current information of the Internet, ASA OnDemand features a powerful, interactive membership directory. Members can search for other members by shop name, contact name, geographic region or area code. The results are displayed and organized much like a print publication, allowing for a printer-friendly format.

But the functionality of the OnDemand directory is what sets it apart from a printed directory. Not only can you search for fellow ASA members, you can also add a bookmark list of other members, ultimately creating your own custom directory that resides in the OnDemand product. You may also add notes about members and visit their Web sites, all from the search results of the membership directory.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks are used to create your own custom directories that reside within the ASA OnDemand product. You can set up as many bookmarks as you would like.

Within the Membership Directory, you will see a tab marked "My Bookmarks" (see above). From this tab, you can view, delete or add bookmarks using the buttons below.

Delete: Allows you to delete a set of bookmarks.
Add: Allows you to add a new category of bookmarks. For example, you may want to add a bookmark for your "20 Groups," "ASA Benefits" or "Shops in My Area."
Rename: You can rename a bookmark category by highlighting the category and clicking the "Rename" button.
Show: Display the members found within your bookmarks by highlighting the category and selecting "Show."

Searching for Members

The ASA OnDemand Membership Directory allows you to search for regular members, associate members and educational members.

For regular members, you can search by shop name, contact name or geographic region. You can narrow your search results by specifying the shop's specialty, whether it be mechanical or collision.

ASA OnDemand users can search for associate and educational members by company name or geographic location.

The search results are displayed much like a print publication, giving the user the opportunity to print the pages. You can also receive more information about members by clicking on their listing.

Once you click on a listing for a specific member, you will notice three buttons on the right side of the screen.

Visit Website If a member has a Web site, and the OnDemand user is currently connected to the Internet, click this button to visit the member's Web site.

Notes By clicking the "Notes" button, OnDemand users can include comments about another member's listing. The comments will only appear on the user's product.

Bookmarks Add a member to your list of bookmarks by clicking the "Bookmark" button.
