ASRW, CARS, NACEEarly-bird pricing for online registration for the Congress of Automotive Service and Repair (CARS) and the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) ends Thursday, Sept. 17. There is no increase in prices over 2008 fees for packages and sessions.

NACE and CARS are now co-located at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, which will be held Nov. 4-7, 2009, during Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW).

How's Your Business?ASA's 'How's Your Business?' Survey Ends Sept. 27
Time is running out to participate in the 2009 "How's Your Business?" survey, which has been updated and moved to an online format. In addition, one ASA member will be randomly selected from a drawing of all participants who complete the core survey to receive a $250 VISA gift card. The deadline for completing the survey is Sept. 27.

All who complete the survey will receive a free copy of AutoInc.'s "2009 Economic Survival Guide," a collection of articles and other tips geared toward running a successful service and repair business in today's economy.

EPA, Jeff Gordon Team Up for Collision Repair Campaign Training VideoThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a free 19-minute training video that features an introduction by NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and discusses the new Auto Body Rule, best practices for shops, saving money and worker protection. The video is designed to familiarize collision repair facilities with the requirements of the new federal paint regulations, which are effective Jan. 11, 2010.
