Wraps Up Sept. 12
The deadline is approaching for ASA's 2008 member recruitment program, the Chairman's Club. The ASA member with the most Chairman's Club points will win the grand prize of an expense-paid trip to the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) or the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE).
Gear up for the 2009 recruitment contest, which kicks off Sept. 13.
Regular members of ASA in good standing are eligible to participate in the Chairman's Club and can download the "Help ASA Grow" referral card from the Members Only section of the ASA Web site. ASA members receive 5 points for every prospect that joins ASA from the member's referral. It's that easy! |

NHTSA Delays Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Lamp Standard
The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has delayed the effective date of an amendment that reorganizes and improves the structure and clarity of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108 for Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment. "How's Your Business?" Survey in the Mail
AutoInc.'s annual survey was mailed recently to 1,500 randomly selected ASA mechanical and collision members. Return the survey by Sept. 19 in the postage-paid envelope to be eligible for a drawing for free registration for this year's NACE or CARS in Las Vegas. Results from this year's survey will be published in the December 2008 issue of AutoInc., and all respondents will remain anonymous.
