Manning Headlines ASRW Keynote
ASA is pleased to announce that Archie Manning, all-American quarterback and NFL MVP, will be the 2008 keynote speaker at the Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) Opening General Session taking place Thursday morning, Nov. 6.
Held during the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) co-located events at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 5-8, the opening session is sponsored by DuPont Performance Coatings.

NACE Announces Council Chairs
Darrell Amberson, AAM, ASA Collision Division director, has once again accepted the appointment as the 2008 NACE chairman, which includes serving as chairman of the NACE Attendee Advisory Council.
Returning as the Exhibitor Advisory Council Chairman is Katie Henwood, marketing communications manager for Standox. 2008 represents the second consecutive year both Amberson and Henwood will serve in these capacities. Click here for details.
CARS Appoints Clements as Chair
Aaron Clements, AAM, immediate past chairman of the ASA board of directors, has accepted the appointment as the 2008 CARS event chairman, which includes serving as chair of the CARS Attendee Advisory Council. Click here for more information.

House Subcommittee Considers Creation of Federal Insurance Office
The Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises held a hearing June 10 to discuss the creation of a federal Office of Insurance Information (OII), as outlined in H.R. 5840, the Insurance Information Act of 2008. For more on the hearing, click here.

ASA Member Shop Donates Car to School PTA
Paul Beebe of Bradís Collision in North Phoenix, Ariz., donated a 2005 Dodge Stratus to the Boulder Creek High School PTA. Raffle tickets were sold to raise money for the Boulder Creek PTA, which provides funding for school materials to provide a quality learning environment for students in the new community of Anthem, Ariz. Fresno Panel to Weigh in on Fuel Efficiency
The Technicians Training Group (TTG) of Fresno is hosting a free informational forum on fuel efficiency Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Sarah McCardle Room of the Fresno County Public Library at 2420 Mariposa St., Fresno, Calif.
