Letters Available on www.TakingTheHill.com

WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 26, 2009 –The U.S. Congress is considering a partial repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act that will apply only to health insurers. Recently, the House Judiciary Committee approved H.R. 3596, the Health Insurance Industry Antitrust Act.

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) supports a full repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act that would affect the insurance industry as a whole, including property and casualty insurers.

ASA is calling on independent automotive repairers to contact their representatives and senators in Congress to ask for their support for a full repeal of McCarran.
