BEDFORD, TEXAS, March 26, 2008 - Attendees of the Automotive Service Association's (ASA) 2008 Annual Convention will have an opportunity Friday, May 2, to meet and mingle with some of the sponsored benefit providers who provide products and services to ASA members. The event will allow ASA members to learn more about the money-saving benefits available to them, while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and networking with peers.

The Benefit Provider Networking Reception will be held from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif. The following companies are scheduled to participate in the Benefit Provider Networking Reception: ALLDATA, AutoNetTV, Auto Shop LifeLine, AutoZone, Cintas, Delphi, GM Powertrain, Meadowbrook, Mitchell 1, Rx-Saver, UniFirst and Zurich.

"The format for the industry reception is an excellent opportunity to network and provide additional information about company products and services in a one-on-one setting to attendees," said John Scully, executive vice president. "Thank you to the sponsors of the 2008 convention, as well as the companies that will have a presence during the reception with the use of table-top displays."

In addition to the Friday night reception, the convention will include the ASA board of directors meeting; a State of the Association address by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive; an affiliate assembly meeting; a mechanical and collision division parts forum; a keynote address by Charlie Fewell; two Automotive Management Institute-approved education courses; ASA's annual Celebration of Excellence dinner and awards ceremony; the AMI graduation ceremony; and an AMI dessert reception. An optional tour of Winchester Mansion is also available.

Online registration for ASA's Annual Convention will be open until April 20; however, attendees who register by tomorrow, March 27, will enjoy significant savings.
