ASA Announces MOTOR Information Systems as New Member Benefit Provider
BEDFORD, TEXAS, August 6, 2008 - The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new member benefit provider - MOTOR Information Systems - a supplier of automotive data, including complete diagnostic and service information. ASA members now receive a 20 percent discount on selected MOTOR Chek-Chart titles - a source of maintenance service specifications in timesaving chart formations.
"MOTOR is a proud partner of ASA and we look forward to serving its members as the world's premier supplier of automotive data," said Kevin Carr, president, MOTOR Information Systems.
MOTOR's mission since 1903 has been to provide customers with unbiased, accurate, authoritative and reliable information in consistent easy-to-use formats.
Some of the titles ASA members will receive discounts on include:
"Transmission Fluid Service Guide" - covers transmission fluid capacities and fluid type; manual transmission illustrations; transmission gasket and filter illustrations; pan and filter, drain plug tightening specifications; and fluid inspection procedures for transmissions that do not have a dipstick.
"Car Care Guide" - a reference on cars and light trucks in the market, offering service test points in the index, serpentine belt routings, air conditioning and cooling system capacities, plus electrical and torque specifications.
"Brake Specification Guide and Brake Bleed Procedures" - covers minimum lining thickness; caliper mounting torque; wheel nut and bolt torque; brake rotor, drum machining and service; wheel bearing adjustment procedures; brake bleed sequence procedures; rotor parallelism, runout, thickness and microfinish procedures.
"Chek-Lube CD" - covers complete lubrication specification data with corresponding engine and chassis diagrams, maintenance service intervals, plus filter parts catalogs for more than 35 brands.
