ASA Creates Refinish Worksheet for Members
BEDFORD, TEXAS, September 20, 2007 - The Automotive Service Association (ASA)
announces a new refinish worksheet available to members. The free document
was created by ASA's Collision Division and its Refinish Subcommittee. Dan
Stander, Jerry Stander's Collision Works, Littleton, Colo., chairs the subcommittee.
"This simple worksheet breaks down new and repaired panel refinishing -
step by step - showing the additional procedures needed," said Stander. "Shops
can now enter their own times on the worksheet to help educate their insurance
partners on the issue of basecoat reduction and zone refinish. This is another
great tool from ASA to help its members."
The worksheet is a companion piece to one of ASA's trio of fliers developed
last fall. ASA offers three fliers to help collision repair professionals
communicate with their local insurance representatives about the correct
procedures involved with blending. This worksheet is the latest addition
to this collection of collision repair communication tools.
The new worksheet is available as a downloadable document in the Members
Only section of the ASA Web site (www.ASAshop.org). Members may access the
Members Only section of the site by entering their six-digit ASA member number.
Nonmembers interested in joining the association or learning more about ASA's
member benefits may contact ASA's membership department at (800) 272-7467,
ext. 295.
