ASA Announces Mechanical Division Operations Committee
BEDFORD, TEXAS, May 18, 2007 - The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced its 2007-08 Mechanical Division Operations Committee. Earl Dohner, AAM, E&E's Garage, Brookville, Ohio, continues his term as Mechanical Division director. As such, Dohner serves on ASA's board of directors and chairs the Mechanical Division Operations Committee. The position of Mechanical Division director is a two-year term.
Members of the operations committee were announced by ASA's board of directors, including Howard Pitkow, Wagenwerx Inc., Wyndmoor, Pa., who is serving as assistant division director. Returning committee members also include Robert Ayers, AAM, Ayers Automotive Repair, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Rick Baker, AAM, Rick Baker's Auto Service Inc., Pleasant Hill, Ohio; Mike Brewster, AAM, Gil's Garage Inc., Burnt Hills, N.Y.; Mike Koebke, Gus Mann Automotive, San Antonio, Texas; Bill Moss, AAM, Advantage Certified Auto Group, Manassas, Va.; Dave Walter, Kehoe Automotive Center Inc., Carol Stream, Ill.; and Bob Wills, Wills Auto Service, Battle Creek, Mich.
New to the operations committee are Terry Wynter, Terry Wynter Auto Service Center, Fort Myers, Fla.; and Betty Jo Young, AAM, Young's Automotive Center, Houston, Texas.
The members of ASA's Mechanical Division Operations Committee represent repair facilities of varying sizes from across the United States. The committee works on behalf of all ASA mechanical members to advance and promote the automotive service and repair industry. Several committee projects are handled through various subcommittees, which currently include education and training, extended service plans, information availability, marketing, parts quality and shop licensing.
The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals. ASA serves an international membership base that includes numerous affiliate, state and chapter groups from both the mechanical and collision repair segments of the automotive service industry.
