ASA Opens Online Registration for Annual Convention

Early-Bird Registration Ends March 23

BEDFORD, TEXAS, March 1, 2007 - Online registration for the Automotive Service Association's (ASA) 2007 Annual Convention is now available by visiting ASAshop.org/Annual07. The annual convention will be held May 3-5 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. Attendees may use the secure online form to register for a variety of annual convention activities, including management seminars, ASA's Celebration of Excellence, optional tours and housing accommodations.

"We're excited to bring back the networking opportunities and camaraderie that comes with the ASA annual convention format," said Charlie Elder, AAM, ASA chairman and owner of Ray Gordon Brake Service, Tallahassee, Fla. "Nashville is a great place to get together with friends and discuss the challenges and successes of operating a modern automotive repair facility. I look forward to seeing everyone there."

Members who register before the early-bird deadline of March 23 will enjoy significant savings. In addition to providing a secure, convenient registration option, the Web site also includes a list of sponsors, daily agendas, education courses and group tour information.

Included in the agenda are a number of open meetings, including a Mechanical and Collision Divisions Forum, the Affiliate Assembly, the ASA Board of Directors meeting, and a lunch featuring the annual State of the Association address by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. In addition, Patrick T. Grady will hold two Automotive Management Institute (AMI) sessions during the event.

Special networking events include ASA's Celebration of Excellence, the AMI graduation ceremony and the Industry Leadership Reception. Attendees will have additional opportunities to network with peers by participating in optional group tours or scheduling tee times at Gaylord Springs.

The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals. ASA serves an international membership base that includes numerous affiliate, state and chapter groups from both the mechanical and collision repair segments of the automotive service industry. ASA's headquarters is in Bedford, Texas.

ASA advances professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair industry through education, representation and member services. For additional information about ASA, including past news releases, go to www.ASAshop.org, or visit ASA's legislative Web site at www.TakingTheHill.com.
