ASA Introduces Convenient Desktop Search
Application connects service professionals with industry supplier database
BEDFORD, TEXAS, Dec. 26, 2007 - The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced the release of an easy-to-use desktop search application as part of the association's online reference tool, ASA's Ultimate Buyers Guide for Service Professionals. The Web-based tool provides shop owners and industry professionals with immediate access to products and services catered specifically to their needs.
The desktop search allows service professionals to search the Internet from a small, non-invasive search box that resides on the user's computer desktop. Easily removable at any time, the ASA desktop search window becomes a basic search tool that will make the supplier search experience easier and more time efficient.
"The development of the new desktop search is an important part of ASA's commitment to offering the industry an easy way to find suppliers catering to the automotive service industry. Google has found great success in its desktop search. ASA is proud to bring similar technology to the industry," said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. "We understand the importance of time in today's automotive repair facility. This desktop search feature makes it convenient to find information in a timely fashion, eliminating steps in the search process."
Downloading ASA's new desktop search is fast and convenient - simply go to www.ASAUltimateBuyersGuide.com and click on "Desktop Search" on the top menu, then follow the instructions provided. As with all ASA downloaded files, there is no spyware or adware involved. The application takes up minimal space on the user's computer.
The guide can be accessed through the association's home page at www.ASAshop.org.
