CARS Announces Shop Licensing Panel

WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 12, 2006 - The Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) will host a shop licensing forum the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The panel discussion is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Mirage Events Center - C2.

Panelists include:

  • Mona Fandel - Broward County Consumer Affairs Division
  • Larry Hecker - Motorists Assurance Program Standards for Automotive Repair
  • Kevin McCartney - Automotive Support Services
  • John Miller - Freedom Automotive Service Inc.
  • Tony Molla - National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
  • Dennis Sterwerf, AAM - Fairfield Auto & Truck Service

Charlie Elder, AAM, chairman of the ASA board of directors and owner of Ray Gordon Brake Service, Tallahassee, Fla., will serve as moderator.
