OEM Technology Sessions Return to CARS
BEDFORD, TEXAS, Sept. 15, 2005 - On Thursday, Nov. 3, representatives of several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will present individual seminars that will provide attendees with specific information on new systems or features that are being incorporated into today's automobiles. Attendance to these sessions is open to anyone registered for the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS).
Manufacturers conducting the OEM technology sessions include DaimlerChrysler Ford, Honda, General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen.
An annual event sponsored by the Automotive Service Association (ASA), CARS will be held Nov. 3-5 at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Register by Sept. 23 to save $100. Secure online registration is available at www.CARSonline.org.
"CARS 2005 offers the opportunity to prepare your shop for the vehicles you will service in the near future," said Bill Haas, AAM, vice president, education and training. "We are extremely pleased to have this level of participation again this year from the manufacturers. Following the OEM sessions, CARS 2005 will officially open with Thursday evening's Service Professionals Industry Reception co-sponsored by ASA and the International Automotive Technicians' Network (iATN). From 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. in Event Center B at The Mirage, attendees can network with other shop owners, managers and technicians. During the reception, more than 50 exhibitors will be on hand showcasing the newest technologies available to service professionals.
CARS is the premier event of ASA's Mechanical Division and will feature eight technical courses and five Automotive Management Institute-approved management courses.
