ASA Member Receives ASE Top Score Award
BEDFORD, TEXAS, Dec. 17, 2002 - Tom Finneran, owner of ASA-member shop Finneran's Auto Diagnostic Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., received the ASE Top Score Award during a ceremony held at last month's Congress of Automotive Repair and Service. The award recognizes the Automotive Service Association Mechanical Division member with the highest score on the 2002 National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) test.
Bill Filley, ASA's Mechanical Division director, and Tony Molla, the vice president of communications for ASE, presented the award.
Finneran began his automotive service career in 1963. After working at a service station and then a dealer, Finneran opened his own business in 1969. His shop provides comprehensive repair and diagnostic services, Filley said.
The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind, serving more than 12,000 businesses and approximately 70,000 professionals from all segments of the automotive service industry. ASA's headquarters is in Bedford, Texas.
