John Thornton
John Thornton operates a mobile diagnostic business in the Chicago area that assists repair shop customers with driveability concerns, computer reprogramming and setup needs, bus communication issues, transmission controls and electrical diagnosis.
John has more than 25 years of diagnostic experience and is an ASE certified Master Technician with L1 certification.
John also conducts training seminars nationally for professional repair technicians through Autotrain Inc. These seminars combine real-world problem-solving with system operation and focus on developing efficient diagnostic techniques through understanding of both the system under discussion and the diagnostic tools available.
Bruce Burrow, AAM
Bruce Burrow has been in the automotive repair business for over 25 years, including experience as a senior trainer for one of the industryís information providers and writing several training programs for the I-CAR Education Foundation.
He has been ASE certified since 1974, and current holds ASE certified Master Technician in collision repair. Burrow is currently a certified I-CAR instructor, an Automotive Management Institute (AMI) instructor and an independent consultant for the automotive repair industry. He is also associated with organizations such as the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Toastmasters International and the National School-to-Work Office.
George Witt, AAM
George Witt started his career in the auto industry as a mechanic in a gas station over 30 years ago. His career includes time as the service manager at four different new car dealerships. Today he owns and operates George Witt Service Inc., an ASA member-business in Lincoln, Neb. He leads a team of professionals that provide a high level of service to the owners of Honda and Toyota vehicles.
Witt is an ASE master-certified automobile technician with L-1 Advanced Engine Driveability and Service Consultant. He is a graduate of the Automotive Management Institute and currently serves on the AMI board of trustees.
He has been recognized with multiple national awards from the Women's Board of the Car Care Council for the George Witt Service Web site and customer newsletters. He personally designs and writes the newsletter and uses it as the primary method of communicating with his customers. Witt also authored a book titled "Shop Marketing" that has had over 15,000 copies distributed by ALLDATA.
