Welcome to AUTOINC.'s Official NACE Online Daily with up-to-the-minute coverage of NACE 2000. The day started at 8:30 with 10 seminars. At 10 a.m., the doors opened for Day 2 of the NACE 2000 Exposition.

This year's NACE theme is “Solutions for Today's Collision Repair World.” In step with that theme, today's keynote presentation, given by Brian P. Sullivan, was titled “Collision Repair vs. Insurers: The Evolution of an Industry.” Sullivan, founder and editor of “Auto Insurance Report” and “Property Insurance Report,” looked at the factors that will shape the personal auto insurance market and how these factors will affect the collision repair industry. His presentation covered market competition, the claims handling process, e-commerce and direct repair programs.

A new feature at NACE this year is the exhibitor showcase presentations. A large area in the exhibit hall has been set aside for exhibitors to give live product demonstrations. The area allows more room for the demonstrations and large audiences. A number of presentations were held both Friday and today.
