Johnny Rutherford
Keynote Presentation, General Session
Saturday, October 31, 7:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.

Three-time Indy 500 winner, Johnny Rutherford, believes "luck" is when opportunity meets preparation. As one of America's most successful drivers, Rutherford will relate his inspirational philosophy on winning - through teamwork, tenacity and tears.

Among Rutherford's many racing achievements, in addition to his three Indianapolis wins in 1974, 1976 and 1980, are 27 total Indy car wins, placing him seventh on the all-time victory list. He won his first Indy car race in 1965, the Atlanta 250. In 1986, Rutherford made his final trip to the winner's circle when he became the oldest 500 mile race winner at 48, taking the Michigan 500.

Since retiring from race car driving, Rutherford has been an expert sports commentator for NBC Television and ESPN. He also makes speaking appearances and is an Indy Legends Driving School Instructor.
