2000 CARS World Series

Posted 9/12/2000

Las VagasThe bases are loaded and you're up to bat. This is your chance to hit a grand slam in the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) World Series.

CARS 2000, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division annual convention, will be held Nov. 2-4 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas. The all-star event includes eight technical courses; three Automotive Management Institute (AMI) seminars; an update from Bob Redding, ASA's Washington, D.C., representative; and much more.

CARS 2000 will also feature an ongoing “baseball” game that promises to be fun, and sometimes hilarious, as teams vie for a spot in the CARS World Series.

Eight Technical Courses Bring your techs! Leading off CARS 2000 will be eight technical courses with the nation's top lineup of instructors:

  • Ford Electronic Chassis and Body. Instructor: Grant Wolter, Ford Motor Co.

Three Management Seminars Baseball's greatest teams have been led by great managers. To ensure your place in the shop managers' Hall of Fame, CARS 2000 will provide three AMI seminars:

  • Elephant Chains. Instructor: Bob Cooper.
  • Turn Your Employees into Superstars. Instructor: Bob Cooper.
  • Technician Time Management. Instructor: Bob O'Connor.

Put Yourself in the Game With increased emphasis on fundamental technical and management skills, plus a whole lot of fun along the way, CARS 2000 is in a league of its own.
