AutoInc. CoverThis 1973 Nova Custom a two-door coupe with a 307 engine, air, AM radio, rally wheels and interior upgrade retailed for $3,200 when it was purchased in October 1972 by Belinda Rawlins. Twenty-four years later, Andrew Johnson purchased the Nova from his mother and worked diligently to refurbish the car. It currently sports the addition of power steering and brakes, a Flowmaster exhaust, an Edelbrock aluminum intake and a hi-tech sound system. Johnson also worked with a painter to refinish the car in 1997. Our cover car was photographed by Belinda R. Johnson at Myrick's Mill Pond in Twiggs County, Ga., where a grist mill operated more than 100 years until the 1970s.
