- The "welcome" statue at the Dallas Zoo is the tallest in Texas, soaring 67.5 feet tall. Naturally, it's a giraffe!
- If it's your first time in Dallas, you're not alone. The Dallas Parkland Hospital System is the largest birthing center in the nation with 13,000 arrivals annually.
- The Six Flags Over Texas theme park is larger than Disneyland.
- The largest library in the United States is the Johnson Central Library in Downtown Dallas.
It houses one of the largest genealogical collections in the United States.

- Dallas Galleria offers more than 200 premier retail stores, and during the winter holiday season is home to the country's tallest Christmas tree.
- The Dallas area is the largest metropolitan area in the nation (possibly in the world) not on a navigable body of water. Its "port" is an "airport(s)."
