Save 10 Percent on Labor Law Posters in May
All employers are required to post federal labor posters under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) notice. The Department of Labor normally allows employers a 60-day grace period prior to enforcement citations being issued. ASA offers these required posters, which are specific to each state, to members for $38 per poster. There are several states that even offer the postings in Spanish.
During May, ASA members are eligible to save an additional 10 percent off the federal labor law posters. For more information, or to order the required posters, contact the ASA membership department, at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295, or visit the online store in the Members Only section of ASA’s Web site, www.ASAshop.org.

ASA Announces Benefit Agreement with NPC to Offer Credit Card Processing
The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new member benefit agreement with National Processing Company (NPC), a provider of business transaction processing, from point-of-sale credit card processing to e-commerce solutions. The agreement includes special pricing for eligible ASA member businesses. NPC is exclusively focused on small- and medium-sized merchants with services that include the electronic acceptance of credit, debit, gift and loyalty cards, and electronic checks.
“NPC is both honored and excited about our partnership with ASA and will capitalize on the opportunity to deliver superior products and outstanding service to their members, not only in 2008, but beyond,” said Chris McNulty, senior vice president of Strategic Sales, NPC.
Accepting credit cards offers convenience benefits for ASA members and their customers. With more than 350 million transactions and over $27 billion in annual processing volume, NPC is one of the largest service providers in the card-based industry, and can set up a business to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, gasoline and fleet cards, and debit, gift and loyalty cards. In addition, the company offers a variety of equipment technologies including wireless or PC-based solutions.
“ASA continues to develop partnerships with prominent companies that will assist in our members’ business success. Evaluating and selecting a credit card processing firm for business use is a time-consuming task. We have attempted to take some of the guesswork out of this process for our member businesses by adding NPC as a sponsored benefit provider for credit card processing,” said B.J. Johnson, ASA’s vice president of membership services. “NPC will offer ASA members a competitive price point and quality customer service. The association is pleased to have NPC on board as a new sponsored benefit provider.”
To learn more about ASA’s agreement with NPC, or any of the more than 35 ASA member benefits, call (800) 272-7467, ext. 295.
