Keynote Speaker Motivates with Humor

Posted 5/15/2003

JohnPowers Author, playwright and speaker John Powers shared his powerful message of passion for life with attendees at ASA's 2003 Annual Convention.

"Do what you love and love what you do," Powers exhorted. "If you can't do what you love, do something else."

It may sound oversimplified, but Powers emphasized the truth behind his message through humorous and poignant anecdotes from his own life. Sharing the wisdom of his family members, he encouraged members to think creatively about life's challenges and maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of defeat.

"You might never win, but you lose all the time," he said. "Losing and going on to try again is the real winning, the real strength." repair industry.
