This 1967 BMW 2000 CS was based on the New Class chassis and carried a menacing look to its face, due to the unusual headlight design. It was powered by a 4-cylinder, 1990-cubic-centimeter engine that was rated at 120 horsepower, and promised a top speed of 115 mph. It weighed in at 2,646 pounds and some 10,000 of them were built during its production run of 1965-70. It sold for a rather substantial list price of $5,185, but featured full-grain leather seats; real walnut in the interior appointments; dual carburetors; and the finest in fit, finish and detailing. This manila-tan beauty has been restored and maintained by Franz Fechner.
