Web Wise: CARS, NACE Sites Feature New Look, Improved Functionality

NACE, CARS Web siteThe International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) Web sites now sport redesigned looks, as well as improved user functionality. Developed to streamline the broadcast of event, registration and housing information, the sites create a one-stop shop for attendees and exhibitors, providing no-nonsense navigation and the ability to make all CARS and NACE arrangements online at www.CARSevent.com and www.NACEexpo.com, respectively.

"It is our hope that both sites become a 24/7/365 online reality and trusted resource within the automotive service and repair community by providing timely event updates, RSS feeds from online industry publications and tools for driving positive networking among industry professionals," said Lindsay Roberts, director, Hanley Wood Exhibitions, the organizer of CARS and NACE.

These industry events, sponsored by ASA, will be co-located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas Nov. 4-7 and will take place during the second annual Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW). To increase value for attendees, 2009 attendee registration prices will not increase over 2008 fees. Online registration opens for attendees in mid-June; early-bird savings runs through Sept. 17, 2009.

"Some shops are struggling out there, but it's never been more important to attend NACE and CARS, gain relevant training and take part in the events' essential networking," said Roberts. "We want to do what we can to help attendees realize the increase in value by keeping registration and housing rates low."

Whether attendees are planning for a single day or the entire four-day event, there's a registration package for them. More than 80 sessions are offered collectively in the NACE and CARS education program. Free ASE Test Prep Classes for both mechanical and collision testing will again be available, as well as free sessions right on the show floor, including educational theaters, product demonstrations, roundtable discussions, I-CAR Technology Showcase clinics, and all the AutoGlassWeek activities.

Roberts also points out that online housing registration is open with 30 percent to 70 percent savings in room rates over 2008 available at all official NACE and CARS hotel properties. Airline discounts to Las Vegas' McCarran Airport are available from American, Continental, JetBlue, Northwest and WestJet. To receive the special travel discounts, visit www.HanleyWood Housing.com or call (800) 895-3978.
