More Than 5,000 Shops Use Direct-Hit

Identifix reports more than 5,000 automotive repair shops are now using its Direct-Hit line system to diagnose and repair vehicles.

Direct-Hit is a subscription-based online database offering real-world, proven diagnostic and repair information. It was developed from more than 2.5 million Identifix repair hotline calls to the company's 37 ASE master certified technicians. More than 5,000 vehicle problems and fixes are added on a monthly basis.

Identifix is one of the nation's premier sources of online and hotline diagnostic and repair information.

Audi, VW Have New Service Info Sites

From the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) comes word that Audi of America and Volkswagen of America have new service information Web sites. The sites are located at www.ebahn.com/audi and www.ebahn.com/vw.

The new sites replace the "erWin" Web sites and will offer three-day, monthly or annual subscription rates for information access. Each Web site requires a separate subscription. Contact techinfo@audi.com or techinfo@vw.com with any questions or concerns.

Access for information from the Audi/VW Technical Literature Ordering Center and for ordering diagnostic tools has not changed.

For more information, visit the NASTF service information matrix at www.nastf.org.
