AutoInc. CoverThe art deco good looks of this 1938 Dodge were given to it by a famous automotive designer names Ray Dietrich, and a factory price of $960 included a 218 cubic-inch six cylinder engine rated at 87 horsepower, a three-speed synchronized transmission, and a wheelbase of 115 inches. Around 700 of these convertibles were built, compared to 73,000 sedans, a more practical solution to transportation of the family. Owner Ron Bell repainted it himself in the original Regent Maroon enamel, and dressed it up with radio, fog lights, fender skirts, wind wings, while sidewall tires, and wheel trim rings.
