New Benefit Offers Discount

MeliorThe A shortage of qualified, well-trained technicians has spurred much concern among automotive service professionals. In response, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new national member benefit that offers member shops a discount on Web-based technical training through Melior.

“In the fast-paced world we live in, time often deters the training that both entry-level and experienced technicians need,” said John Scully, ASA's vice president of membership services. “Web-based technical training offers the convenience of training anywhere and at anytime.”

Melior now offers two Web-based courses - Circuits and Meters, and Advanced Electronics - but is currently developing additional courses. Melior offers its Web-based electrical series to ASA national members for $75 per module, a savings of $20 per module.

ASA national members are able to access the Melior discount through the Members Only section of the ASA Web site (http://www.asashop.org).

For more information on this or any other member benefit, contact the ASA Membership Department at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295.
