AutoInc. CoverRockne was built by Studebaker to compete with Ford, Chevrolet and Plymouth for the lower-priced market. It was only produced for two model years, 1932 and 1933.
This 1933 Rockne 10 has been owned by Automotive Service Association member Mike West of Tukwila, Wash., for 42 years. It is pictured in front of the beautiful entrance to the Masonic Retirement Center in Zenith, Wash.
The car, which was named after football legend Knute Rockne of Notre Dame fame, retailed new for $585. More than 31,000 were produced, of which approximately 90 still exist.
