Another Savings Advantage: ASA!

No doubt about it, we are living in some tough times economically. As we all tighten our belts and try to find more ways to save, it may be a great time to make sure you're taking full advantage of the tools and savings available to you as an ASA member. If you saw last month's issue of AutoInc., it contained a good wrap-up on all of the great member benefits you can receive. ASA works hard to partner with businesses that can help you run your shop better and save you money in your day-to-day expenses. The way I see it, the cost of membership in ASA easily pays for itself through my participation in various member benefit programs.

I'm always amazed at the variety of member services and products that we provide to the ASA membership. ASA strives to offer savings in all aspects of your business. It offers savings on shop uniforms, software, printed materials, insurance needs, parts purchases, credit card processing, training ... you name it, the list goes on.

Speaking of training, have you enrolled yet in ASA's upcoming Annual Convention scheduled for April 30-May 2 in sunny Orlando, Fla.? The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is offering three superb classes taught by two excellent instructors. You can earn up to 16 credits toward your Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation by attending. (I would like to personally congratulate all of the AMI graduates who have earned this designation since the first graduation ceremony in 1993. With this year's graduating class, it brings the total to more than 1,500!)

There will also be some hard-hitting and informative Industry Impact sessions scheduled - some collision-focused and some mechanical-focused - for members attending the convention. Plus, you'll be among the first to hear the results of ASA's recent elections, celebrate with various award recipients at ASA's Celebration of Excellence, and hear the latest on the legislative front and how you can make a difference in the regulations and legislation that affects your business each day.
