When you look at apprenticeship programs today with an eye toward what works and what doesn't, it's obvious one of the best programs around can be found on Oklahoma State University's Okmulgee, Okla., campus.

On the cover, students Heather M. McGee and Alan J. Roberts are shown examining engine parts in OSU's Pro-Tech lab.

The two are enrolled in the school's Pro-Tech program, which is for students who would prefer to work for repair businesses other than dealerships.

Viva la Pro-Tech! As Martha says, "That's a good thing." Especially for independent repair shops. It'll bring us some of the technicians we'll need for tomorrow.
