Lagonda has been called “The poor man's Bentley,” but the company still built some of the finest sports cars to come out of Great Britain. This 1938 LG6 Drophead Coupe - the British name for a convertible coupe - belongs to Al McEwan and, true to its heritage, has been driven thousands of trouble-free miles. It is seen here at Harrison Hot Springs in Canada during a two-week driving tour in 1998. The LG6 has a 127-inch wheelbase, right-hand drive, and is powered by a 4.5 liter, overhead valve, six-cylinder engine that develops incredible torque. The seats are covered with the finest grade of English leather and the instruments are displayed on a burled walnut panel.
