Average driving cost includes: insurance, depreciation, license, fees, taxes, fuel, oil, tires and maintenance required to drive a 1995 Taurus GL, four-door, 15,000 miles annually over four years.
After Los Angeles, the most expensive cities and the average driving costs (in cents) are: Boston, 49.8; Philadelphia, 49.0; Providence, R.I., 48.5; Hartford, Conn., 48.0.
Least expensive after Sioux Falls are: Bismarck, N.D., 36.3; Burlington, Vt., 36.4; Boise, Idaho, 36.7; Nashville, Tenn., 37.1.
