The purpose of the Estimating subcommittee is to address areas relating to the various estimating systems and estimating procedures. Currently, ASA has representatives on all the major estimating systems and participates actively with the CIC Database Task Force and the joint Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) project. The DEG project is in a development stage with a goal of industry support to improve the overall accuracy of the estimating databases.
